Prayer & Light Meditation for World Peace

Guided Light Meditation:

We start with a prayer for forgiveness:

For all the harm that I have done to others, forgive me.

For all the harm that others have done to me, I forgive you.

For all the harm that I have done to myself I forgive myself.

Let us invoke the all pervading presence and Light to manifest itself in our being. As we take the Divine Light, we offer a prayer of love and gratitude to that Infinite Spirit.

Now visualize the light in your mind’s eye. Imagine that it is permeating your head. Wherever light is, darkness cannot remain. All your thoughts will be filled with light. You will think only good thoughts.

Now bring the light to the center of the heart, and let it envelop the source of purity and of unconditional love.

Bring the light to the eyes, your eyes are filled with light so that you may see beauty and goodness everywhere.

Bring the light to your ears filling them with light so that you may hear things which will enrich your spiritual journey.

Now let the light come to your tongue and mouth. Let this tongue be filled with light so that you speak the truth and what is useful and necessary, with love and compassion.

Let the light travel down the two arms to the hands. Let these hands be filled with light, doing work with devotion and dedication and helping and serving others.

Bring the light down your legs to your feet so that the feet are filled with light, guiding you to places and people that are inspiring. Your entire body is glowing with the Divine light.

THE LIGHT IS IN YOU. YOU ARE IN THE LIGHT.

Now send this light to your entire neighbourhood.

To your entire city. Let it expand your entire country is now filled with the Divine light.

It continues to expand across all the countries of the world.

Imagine that the entire earth is illumined with the light. Let the light expand to envelop the entire universe.

Now bring the light back towards you, sending it to animals and plants everywhere. May the light touch every being.

Send the light to the physically and mentally challenged, to those suffering from life threatening diseases, to the sick and the depressed and to those who have suicidal thoughts. Send the light to all the caregivers and to your ancestors in love and gratitude. Send the light to those who are living, to those who have lived in the past, to those who are to be born in the future. Send the light to those in positions of power and to the leaders who make decisions that touch the lives of all of humanity. Send the light to those who terrorize. May their hearts and minds be filled with love and peace. Send the light to those who toil to feed us and to those who risk their lives to protect us. May they, the caretakers of the well being of all people, be safe from harm.

Send the light to friends and family. May they be filled with peace and happiness. May the world be filled with LOVE, LIGHT and PEACE. And may all be safe from harm. May all be happy and peaceful. May all be strong and healthy. May all take care of themselves with joy.

Now bring the light to the center of your heart and meditate on that form of God which appeals to your mind and visualize that form with hands raised in blessing and saying to you: you have shared your love with all My creation …My blessings are always with you……… or if you so wish visualize the formless light. Remain immersed in the light.

Love, Peace, Joy

This is dedicated to all those who are trying sincerely to live a spiritual life

In the midst of darkness, light persists

In the midst of death, life persists

In the midst of untruth, truth persists

In the midst of hatred and violence, love and peace persist
